Help protect our vital water resources!

Take action now.

UPDATE March 8, 2018 - The consultation period has now ended. The Province will be reviewing the feedback received from thousands of Ontarians. As soon as the next steps in growing the Greenbelt to protect more of our critical water systems from development pressures and climate change are announced, we will post more information on this website. Stay tuned!

Tell the province to protect our critical water resources now!

Water is our most precious resource and needs permanent protection.

Rapid urbanization, rising populations, and development pressures within the Greater Golden Horseshoe are threatening the integrity of our waters.

The health of the headwaters, moraines, wetlands, aquifers and recharge areas that ring the current Greenbelt are experiencing all of these threats and need protection now to ensure the communities and farms can continue to rely them for their drinking water and livelihoods.

The Greater Golden Horseshoe is one of the fastest growing regions in North America. With the population expected to grow to 13.5 million by 2041, we need to ensure the ecological services we all depend are protected from increasing development pressures.

Take action now and tell the government to protect at-risk waters in the Greater Golden Horseshoe!
